Benjamin Ross Group announces the acquisition of Bookbinders Food Division

Southampton, PA (June 2009) – Benjamin Ross Group, a mergers and acquisitions firm, was recently sold Bookbinders Food Division, a Huntingdon Valley Pennsylvania manufacturer of soups, seasonings and other items.
The Bookbinders brand, which was first established in 1865 in Philadelphia, manufactures soups, seasonings and related food items which are sold throughout the United States in supermarkets and specialty food stores, such as Albertsons, Acme, Osco, Shaws, Shop-n-Save, Winne Dixie, Shoprite, Safeway, Kroegers, Big Y and others.

This is the second business sale the Benjamin Ross Group has performed for the previous owner of Bookbinders. The first transaction was the sale of a Lehigh Valley Snacks is a food distribution business established in 1935, providing products by Wise, Snyders of Hanover Pretzels, Cape Cod, Lance, Keebler, On the Border Tortilla Chips, Mission Tortillas, etc.

The business was purchased by a former executive of DuPont. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Benjamin Ross Group engaged as business brokers, initiated the transaction, acted as financial advisor and negotiated the transaction.
